Os Max Engine for sale

Can you guys provide some information on these engines?1. Are they good performers?2. Details... i.e. ringed? ABC? etc.3. What do they go for?I am looking to purchase one to use for a VRCS model. Thanks,Brian Views: 296 Sign up now to remove ads between posts It uses a baffled piston for loop scavenging. An aluminum piston with an iron SAE D ring for the piston the cylinder seal, The cylinder is steel. This is a very "normal" engine. IIRC it has an air bleed carb. I'm not up to speed on the VRSC rules but if they allow auto mixture carbs I would avoid this OS. I think a Veco 61 (lee custom) with Perry carb or Merco 61 would be head and shoulders above this engine.Performance was par for most sport engines of the day. Defiantly sub par to the European (Super Tiger) and K&Bs of the day. OS didn't really make a name for themselves until the FSR series of enginesJust for the record I dislike OS!!!Friends don't let friends fly nickelKonrad Thanks for all the info. The engine I am considering is a O.S. Max .60H Gold Head. Not sure what the designations mean behind the .60, i.e. "F", "G", "H", etc.I am more or less curious how this type of engine will perform and if I can "run" it given my skills. I grew up on O.S. .46 SF's which were great performers and easy to use. What is different about the loop-scavenged engines (do' / dont's)?I also understand these vintage 60's are not nearly as powerful as the newer versions today, but if it can fly what I am thinking I will be happy. The plane I am thinking of is a Hurst Bower Boeing F4B-2. Believe it was designed in '69 and offered by RCM.Thanks again for. My old style 80’s and it spun away, Sounded like a big fan…..Smiles Back in the day, the 80 was OS Max's first "Big Engine" and they were over engineered. Two of the 80's that you see in the OS Time Line were mine (one was the marine version) that I sent them when they had the engine trade-in program. (Still going on). Sorry about the ramble, I guess you can tell I like them. You'll like the H series, OS made a 60 size rear rotor as well, The rear rotor cranks are solid steel ground between centers. They always start and run. I've never had one dead stick. Good Fuel is the key. They didn't use Cool Aid back then. All castor. Ephere has released Ornatrix C4D 1.0, the new Cinema 4D edition of its popular plugin for generating dynamic hair, fur and feathers, previously only available for 3ds Max and Maya. The other editions of the software are used by a range of leading VFX houses and game developers, including Blur Studio, Scanline VFX and Capcom.A powerful solution for hair grooming and dynamics, with support for Cinema 4D’s key toolsetsFirst announced in 2018, Ornatrix C4D makes the software available to Cinema 4D users for the first time.It includes the key toolsets for generating and grooming hair from the 3ds Max and Maya editions, including both brush-based workflows and parametric editing. The Cinema 4D edition also features Moov physics, Ephere’s physics engine, and Oscillator modifier, intended for generating secondary hair motion without a full dynamics simulation. It works within Cinema 4D’s deformer and tag framework, accepting inputs from native C4D forces. Pipeline features include the option to convert mesh strips into Ornatrix hair, to import or export hair in Alembic format, and to convert hair and hair guides to NURBS curves.Ornatrix hair renders natively in Arnold and Redshift, and can be converted to a mesh for rendering in other third-party engines like OctaneRender.Pricing and availabilityOrnatrix C4D 1.0 is available for Cinema 4D R19+ on Windows 7+ and Mac OS X 10.9+. It costs $599.Read more about Ornatrix for Cinema 4D on Ephere’s websiteHomepage image for this story created by Ornatrix C4D beta tester Rodrigo Alemeida.
