Planning Center Music Stand is a digital music reader that connects to your Planning Center Services account to let you flip through pages and take notes. Features include:1.) Log in to Planning Center, open any plan in your schedule, and choose which PDF to view for each song.2.) Turn pages hands-free using a Bluetooth foot pedal, by swiping, tapping the edge of the page, or using a MIDI device.3.) Use Annotation Tools (highlighter, pen, text) to take notes which are stored online for each user. See your notes from other files and keys. View other user's annotations, merge them with your own, or print your annotated PDFs.4.) Listen to audio attached to each song and loop sections of the audio.5.) Last week Music Stand for iOS and Android was updated to version 4.2 and now allows you to edit lyrics & chord charts created in Planning Center, or create new ones from scratch.You can get chord charts into Planning Center in many ways. The most popular way is probably importing PDFs from SongSelect or PraiseCharts. If instead you make your own charts, or you want the ability to customize charts, you can enter the text into Lyrics & Chords, and Planning Center turns it into a PDF that can be transposed into any key.Music Stand has always supported all types of PDFs, but with today's update, you can now edit the PDFs that you've created using Planning Center's Lyrics & Chords. There are three different places you can start editing.PDF File PickerWhen you're viewing an original PDF, tap to view the top toolbar and then tap the filename. Goals.Spoken Word for RecoveryOur spoken word workshop resulted in an afternoon of powerful performances. The audience was so moved that people not involved in our workshop got up to speak. I felt like it brought everyone in the room closer together.Over three weeks, we met for two, two-hour workshops and a final performance. There are plenty of examples of spoken word performances on YouTube as well as music and beats to go with the words. Most of our participants chose to stand up with their journal and perform without music.We plan on repeating this activity soon.Activities for FunSome days we give the heavy topics a rest and just have fun. One relaxing drawing project is scribble drawings. Quickly draw and loopy scribble and fill in the closed shapes with different colors. Zen tangles, mandalas, and adult coloring books are also relaxing and fun.Finding Creative Projects for Recovery Is My JobThis job is not only something I'm passionate about, but it also challenges me. I'm the only employee based at the center, so I do everything from cleaning and buying snacks to planning groups and events.
